Cardiac rehabilitation doesn’t change your past, but it can help you improve your heart’s future. Cardiac rehab is a medically supervised program designed to improve your cardiovascular health if you have experienced heart attack, heart failure, angioplasty or heart surgery. Cardiac rehabilitation, also called cardiac rehab, is a customized outpatient program of exercise and education. The program is designed to help you improve your health and recover from a heart attack, other forms of heart disease or surgery to treat heart disease. Goals of Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) This program has been evolved with a wide range of indications that aims to regain autonomy and maximize the physical, psychological and social activities. This makes people with cardiac diseases more confident and inspires behaviors that may minimize risk of further cardiac events. This research examined the processes underpinning changes in psychological well-being and behavioural regulation in cardiac rehabilitation (CR) patients using self-determination theory (SDT).
